There is a lot going on here that I really really like! Almost every piece I am wearing makes a statement and is one of my favs. I feel nice and laid back in this outfit, but the interesting textures and colors make it more interesting than your average "laid back" outfit.

Do you think there is too much going on? or do the neutral colors help to balance it out?

I feel very matchy in this outfit, but I am okay with that. There are a lot of patterns, textures and colors going on, so if it lacks color complexity, maybe that's a good thing.

Now, I'm interested to hear what you have to say about this blazer. I have been wanting to find some colored blazers since most of mine are neutrals. It is cotton, fully lined and seems to fit well. What's the verdict? Good purchase?

On Tuesday, we had a huge event that we prepare for virtually all year long.  This is the reason I have been working so much lately. This is also the reason the sun is out in my pictures. After getting home from the event after midnight, we all came into work a little later the next day. This is what I wore the day after that event.

I LOVE the slate-ish color of these pants. It makes them so much better different than other "gray" pants. This unique color seems to really set off the lovely fuchsia sweater gifted to me by my sister and her hubby. I enjoy the contrast of colors present in this ensemble!

Today, I'd like to talk a little bit about this Hana Professional 1.5" Flat Iron sent to me by Misikko.com.

First of all, when I received this flat iron, it was packaged so beautifully and stuffed with little pink silk roses.


I was also delighted to find many other great hana products included in the box! (I'm now in love with that eyeliner!)





Okay, It is time now to confess that I have some really bizarre hair. Under the top layer of  my hair (only in the back)  I have this random wavy hair. I have struggled with this area for years, but I had come to accept it. It is difficult for me to see well enough to get it perfectly straightened out.


I was pretty amazed by the results. It only took me a few minutes to tame those waves. This is easily the best flat iron I have ever owned. I think the best thing about using this Hana Professional 1.5" Flat Iron was how smoothly it went through my hair. I did not feel like it was pulling out my hair as I worked it through, as I did with my old flat iron.

I'm no fair weather fan, so here I am dressed in my Friday blues. Indianapolis has what we like to call "Blue Friday" every week there is a game. Everyone gets to wear their Colts-y digs to work on Fridays. Better luck next time boys!

I apologize, I've been working a lot the last few days, so I've not really been an awesome blogger. I'm sure you'll forgive me!

This is one of those outfits that looked better in the mirror than it does in photos. This is one case when I wish I could just skip today's post, but that's not how this gig works! You see what I wear to work -- love it or hate it! Hopefully, it didn't look this bad in real life. I also had to take my photos in the evening instead of the morning, so youll notice the addition of lots of wrinkles and stretched out sweater-ness.

Sheesh! I am full of complaints today!

I have to apologize for the fact that I talk about the weather all. the. time. It feels like November this week! But it does have a sizable affect on my day and my weardrobe, so I take that back! It is totally relavant.

This outfit feels very 'fall', and this is the first time I've worn these boots since winter. These are exciting things. I think this is an improvement over the last time I wore this dress. I'm learning more everyday, so I guess that is not surprising.

I've been working too much lately to know what's going on in the world.  Is anything going on out there? anyone home?

I think this outfit has hints if pilgrim in it. I think it is the belt and the collar on this shirt that make it have a pligramy... yes, I'm making "pilgrimy" a word. deal!

I'm not sure why fall has made me feel like wearing purple this year, but it has. In fact, today I'm wearing 2 different kinds of purple! Yes, you can call on of them "fuchsia", but I'm having more fun with the purple vs. purple thing. For some reason, the arrival of fall brings out my preppy side. Oh well! Enjoy it while it is here!

I've been out camping with some awesome family and friends, so all I have to share today is my tent-grunge fashion! Do you dig it!?
