So randomly this morning I decided to see my part on the other side. I imagine that no one noticed or will notice, but I once heard on RadioLab that changing your part can be powerful. Yes, love me or hate me, I'm often an NPR nerd. I guess my experiment was a bit of a failure because I didn't notice any huge difference in the way people acted today. Win some, lose some.
As for this outfit, I have a new obsession with these striped skirts. I have two others, This one and this one. They are cottony and stretchy and comfy and I only paid about $7 a piece. I think they'll really come in handy this summer! Yep. Still have that spring fever!
Hubby and I stopped into TJ Maxx to get some workout goodies and I couldn't resist the urge to check out the clearance shoes. These puppies were only $14! Plus hubby found some great stuff for his fancy shmancy personal training sessions. Its not Tuesday unless something is shmancy!
I do love this shirt it to pieces! Buuuuuut.... until now I have not been brave enough to try the whole tucking in the front and not the back, especially for a professional setting. I tried it for "casual friday", and I think, I did it wrong. I guess that's what trial and error is here for. To be fair, It looked better in person than it does in these photos. I'll try again one day!
When I left the house this morning, I really thought the dots on this sweater were black. As the day wore on, I kept looking at it in different light, and I think I've decided its navy. Either way, I like it with this skirt. I think I have a new addiction to these stripy skirts. Beware, you'll probably be seeing more of this and other similar skirts in weeks and months to come.
This morning had -2 wind chills so a sweater dress, tights and warm boots seemed like the best coziest way to go. I just ordered this dress from Target. It was on clearance, so they almost paid me to take it! Something about the way the green an pink play together just makes me so happy!
Today Hubby and I booked our flights to Europe. This is both exciting and terrifying. I've never traveled that far before, and neither has Hubs. I'm incredibly excited because this is something I've always ALWAYS wanted to do. On the other hand all the logistics cause me anxiety!
In other exciting news, I've acquired some fun new stuff from lots of fun Jan/Feb sales. This top and skirt are treasures that I found with my shopping buddy this weekend. Loving me some burgandyish/pinkish and purple on a Tuesday!

One random day of "warmth" in the middle of winter means so many things in a day in my life! It means I go tights free, and it means I get to take my pup for a run in the evening. These are the simple joys of late February spring fever. I have the fever so badly that I did my run in the rain... That's serious people!
I don't love that this outfit is so matchy-matchy, but its okay because the colors are so incredible and the print is so beautiful. Ahhh the power of prints!
My mom got me this amazing blazer for Christmas, and I have been trying to save it for something special. I was putting too much pressure on the blazer and ended up just NOT wearing it at all! So I've decided to try to take the pressure of and give the awesome blazer more use!
Also, witness here my 1st ever pair of Sperry's! They sure are comfy!
4th grade me would have cringed at the sight of this... Pink and Red? Are you kidding me? Good thing 28 year-old me just loves red and pink together. They're like bffs!
Don't I look like a giant Valentine? I stuggled more than I thought I would to find something festive to wear today. I am still playing a little bit if catch up, so the pants were a nice convenience for the day. I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's day. Now get back to the grind!
This morning I knew I wanted to wear this skirt, but I didn't really have any other ideas. I keep failing at catching up on my sleep, so my styling skills are hindered by sleepiness!
I actually really like the teal with the cobalt shoes, and the hints of pink in the shoes and the birdy scarf make me think of spring. Oh how I love spring!

I've been trying to figure out what to wear with this lace top. I have been sort of trying to aviod wearing it with black. For some reason, as an IU grad, I have an aversion to wearing black and gold together... (those who know about or are from Indiana will understand this!)
Then this morning it finally clicked! Just add those trusty red pants! Bam ~ Now I looke like ketchup and mustard...

This is a new super awesome skirt that is giving me styling fits, but I found a way to make it work today.
After being gone from the office for only 3 (business) days, I feel like I am worlds behind! We got stuck in Atlanta for about 6 hours on the way home from Mexico, and we got home in the middle of the night. So off we went this morning to work as zombies!
We are in that horrible after vacation state where our house is a complete insane wreck and we're trying to catch up with everything. Its okay though! We'll catch up, and these views were worth it.
