For some reason, I have never been someone to wear a lot of black, but in the last month I have been trying more of it. Black is a powerful neutral to use, so it can be invaluable in a professional wardrobe.

I love the shoulder detail on this jacket, and adding the florescent belt with the leopard skirt made the outfit feel totally me. Anyone else trying some new neutrals?

A pretty colored pant and a neutral top - this is not exciting. What can I do to bring this outfit to the next level? Just add leopard print! I'm really on a leopard kick right now, so prepare yourself.

I had this outfit picked out all weekend! I thought of it on Thursday night and since I typically wear jeans on Friday, that meant it had to wait. I was so excited to wear it! I haven't been very good at these kinds of layers. I might have ventured into a new category of things to try!

There is something classic about this outfit that I really like. Maybe it is the blue and green together. Does static play a  role in the pieces you choose to wear in the winter? I avoid static-y shirts and skirts like the plague! I wore this shirt despite its electric qualities, and it turned out okay. I hit it with a little water every now and then and it didn't bother me as much. Man I really hate static!

This skirt makes me so happy. I love the combination of grey and pink, and I have a small obsession with chevron right now. I'm growing more and more tired of wearing tights, so hopefully spring will be here soon!

This shirt was hiding in my drawer. I just discovered... it has magical waist slimming powers. I love that it is navy, so it is a perfect neutral to wear with so many things. Remember, navy is a neutral, so go nuts people!

While it is still cold, I might as well take advantage and wear my leather. I always love lace, but when paired with the leather, it really is the perfect juxtaposition. Just trying keep a positive attitude while I wait for the weather to warm up.

This fuzzy cardigan is probably the warmest cardigan on the planet. It also deposits fur on everything! I love the color! I have moved to wearing mostly blazers instead of cardigans, but I'm not sure why. I go though cycles sometimes. I must be in a blazer lovin' cycle!

I'm the kind of person that likes to be festive. Today is Valentine's day, and I'm being festive. I have an OLD shirt with hearts on it that I thought I could wear, but it turns out 15 years ago shirts were much shorter (i.e. showing midriff) then they are today. The only way I could wear it is with a high wasted pants or an amazing pencil skirt. Since it is probably time to donate that old one, I decided to wear this fun heart sweater today. It makes everyone smile.

After adding the red blazer, I think I look like one giant Valentine!

I am growing more and more tired of trying to dress for negative temps. I've never thought about what a challenge being warm AND creative could be. Everyday I'm looking more forward to spring and what fun fashion it can bring.

I like winter and snow, but spring is my favorite season. After this long, deep freeze of a winter, I am ready to see some crocuses and daffodils and tulips! oh my!

Photos are so difficult when it is so stinkin' cold out! On this particular morning it meant snow in my booties and a quick change into my snow boots for the trek to work.

For the first time, I decided to spend some money on myself. I have been dreaming about Hunter boots for 2 years, so I decided to use some of my Christmas money on these color block beauties. Lucky for me, I found my size 30% off. I just can't buy things for myself that aren't on sale. Can't do it.

I. Love. This. Shirt.

I have trouble styling this ruffly and flowery blouse, but that doesn't stop me from being deeply deeply in love with it. The green color somewhat mimics my eyes, so that is fun to work with. Until today, it never occurred to me to pair it with this striped cardi, but I think it works amazingly well!
