I'm pretty sure I'm the last person on the planet that did not have a "chambray" shirt yet. FYI - Chambray is a fancy word for DENIM. My dad has worn denim-on-denim for why whole life. Who knew he was such a fashion trend setter? Way to go, Dad!

I am still trying to challenge myself to do interesting things with my basic "dress" pants. For some reason, I find it so much easier to style a skirt than pants. I like the way this one turned out. The only thing I'm not in love with is the way the necklace and shoes are "matchy-matchy." How would you make this outfit better?
People often ask me how I can wear heels everyday. The answer is: I am typically barefoot at work. Once at my desk, doing the awesome-ness that I do, it doesn't take long for my shoes to be laying on the floor with no feet in sight. I do have some shoes that are more comfortable than others. These are NOT those shoes. These are quite uncomfortable, but look how cool they are! Seriously... Zebras!

I'm not sure why I remember so distinctly the day I got this top. It was a long long time ago. My shopping buddy sister and I were trolling the clearance rack at Macy's we came across these nice basic turtle necks for $3! We bough every color we could find in our size. (in my case that meant black, grey and this burgundy)
The skirt I found just yesterday on a target clearance rack. I need to get my tailor mom to help me put some darts in it, so it will stay up and fit right! Stacy and Clinton stay that a big part of having style is having the right fit.
So today I get an A+ for clearance rack trolling and a C- for fit!
I love the idea of dressing up a Tshirt. Something about the juxtaposition of the fancy with the "not fancy" makes my creative juices boil! I went with the matchy necklace because it seemed fun. Also, I love anytime I can use the word juxtaposition. Get on board people!
