Workin' pink stripes

Tank: Nordstrom Rack
Skirt: Nordstrom Rack
Blazer: LC Lauren Conrad (via gift)
Boots: Charlotte Russe (circa 2006!)
Necklace: Carson's

Happy Halloween!!

I'll post my awesome Halloween costume later. You'll love it!

This outfit is just okay Each piece alone is a really great item, but on this day with this bump, they just don't seem to be agreeing.

Soon Baby will be here, and I haven't exactly figured out what I'll do with the blog while I'm not working. I'm sure babe and I will try to make some appearances, and maybe I'll put together some posts with old favorites to keep you inspired to get dressed for work! Any other suggestions of what you might like to see?

Workin' in the dark

Sweater: Nordstrom Rack
Leggings: TJ Maxx
Boots: GUESS (via gift)
Scarf: handmade

Sorry for the terrible photos. It was too dark to take pictures, but I wanted to show you this outfit anyway. So we'll have to deal with darkness and a little extra yellow-ness.

Once again the belt here is important to make the oversized sweater not look too sloppy. The color is fun to wear and I got to wear another one of my handmade infinity scarves. Win and win!

Workin' the best top

Top: gift
Jeans: Seven
Shoes: DSW

I've said many times that I don't like most maternity clothes, but this is a great top! My sister gave it to me as a gift early early in my pregnancy. I put it in a drawer and completely forgot about it until now! Now I feel like I have to wear it as much as I can before baby comes!

Workin' a leopard belt

Sweater: TJ Maxx
Pants: TJ Maxx
Boots: GUESS (via gift)
Belt: LOFT

Belts can be an important part of a maternity wardrobe. in this case, it prevents this sweater from looking sloppy and makes it look like it is the perfect fit to cover the big Ol Bump. And you know I'd probably wear leopard print everyday if I could.

Workin' any day now

Dress: Target
Blazer: Forever21
Scarf: made by Me!
Booties: GUESS (via DSW)

This dress is pretty much magical. I figured I'd run out of ideas for how to style it by now, but with a simple black dress I am still going strong. This is one of my favorite uses of the dress so far! Even though I usually like adding a little color, I think the neutrals are so happy together!

I made 5 infinity scarves! They are intended to double as cover-ups for breastfeeding in the near future. I love me some scarves and found some great fabrics in the 50% off remnant pile. Thanks to Pinterest, they were so so easy. I'll let you know if they work for me or not!

Workin' the last minute grab

Sweater Dress: Target
Leggings: Forever21
Necklace: Coldwater Creek

This outfit was a last minute grab. It was one of those mornings where I tried on everything that still fits and nothing was working. I opened on more drawer and there was this dress. It is not my favorite outfit at all, but it certainly worked in that moment of exasperation.

Two weeks until baby!

Workin' what works

Top: borrowed
Skirt: Target
Boots: Carlos Santana (via gift)
Scarf: New York & Co

With only 2 weeks (and one day) to Baby Nealis' due date, I am growing more and more concerned with getting things done (read: ready for baby) and less concerned with getting dressed in the morning. This is not my favorited maternity look, but it does work ok. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there is also nothing particularly great about it -- except that it FITS! Keep moving forward prego, the wee one is almost here!

Workin' love beyond the bump

Tank: Nordstrom Rack
Jeggings: Kohl's
Blazer: H&M
Boots: Carlos Santana (via gift)
Scarf: gift

This is a fun outfit! Thankfully, I still like this shirt. If you've ever been pregnant, you might know how you start to really not enjoy wearing your "maternity" clothes. I have really made and effort to find things that are not "maternity wear by definition, but work great to cover my bump. Make no mistake, getting dressed is hard!

Workin' lace on top

Blouse: LC Lauren Conrad (via Kohl's)
Leggings/Pants: TJ Maxx
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: Carson's

The top of my top is lace. That shouldn't be funny, but for some reason, I find it hilarious. I adore this shirt. The blue color is rich and beautiful and the lace is like nothing else in my closet.

In reality, this blouse probably isn't really for me. These shirts that are higher in the front and long in the back aren't for people with a baby bump like mine. BUT it was long enough to cover, AND I make the rules. So I went with it.

Baby Nealis could realistically be here any day. If you're following along on the ol' personal blog you know we have only 2.5 weeks to go!

Workin' the day after

Dress: borrowed
Boots: Charlotte Russe
Scarf: gift
Jacket: TJ Max

The day after our big presentation each year is one of comfort, recuperating and a little bit of sleeping in. Our company does a large very important presentation to our industry each year, and all the work to prepare can be a few months of extra work and stress. This year our firm was a comedy of errors as we tried to prepare the presentation while enduring illnesses and maternity leave.  But we got through it!

This dress is comfortable and the shoes are fun with it! Wearing the brown with black is just my way of being a "rebel"!
