These pants are so pretty. They are such a rich lovely tone of purple! Pairing it with the neutral sweater helps the pants really be the focus of the outfit. Also, I'm pretty much addicted to this scarf. It must be the mix of colors and the unusual pattern that makes my heart pitter-pat when I see it.

Booties: GUESS (via DSW)
I'm gearing up to get in the holiday spirit. Our December weekends are already full with work parties and musical performances. That means I already have to figure out what I'm wearing to the work parties!! ACK!

Shirt: Nordstrom Rack
Blazer: JLo (via gift)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson (via Von Maur)
The day before a holiday weekend is usually a good one. The office is pretty relaxed and everyone is looking forward to the week to come. On this Wednesday before Thanksgiving our team enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch together.
I actually considered wearing jeans as if it were a "casual Friday" because it felt like a Friday!

Sweater: TJ Maxx
Shoes: GUESS (via DSW)
I have been dying to use these orange tights I picked up late last winter (or early spring), but I've been having trouble figuring out how to do it! I love the orange with the deep teal color. For whatever reason I always feel like wearing orange around Thanksgiving. I'm ready for some turkey! Are people still wearing pretty colored tights or is it just me?

I grabbed this sweater on a whim off the clearance rack at Target. It was $10 and beautiful and my size, so, I didn't even try it on! It is easily one of the softest snuggliest sweaters I've ever owned! I also wore it to Thanksgiving with my husbands family. I've only owned it for 3 days and its already doing double duty!

Sweater: TJ Maxx
Scarf: New York & Co.
Participating in blue Friday did me no good! I did it but we lost :( Maybe next time I'll avoid blue Friday! It is only weird if it doesn't work.
This post is late. Sorry about that! We hosted Thanksgiving with my husband's paternal family. They are tons of fun, but at the end of that day I had nothing left for writing a fashion-y post for you! priorities people! Has anyone else ever hosted Thanksgiving? Do you enjoy hanging out with your family?

Have you ever worked on something so long, something that was so irritating and outrageous and then when it was done, you have no idea how you survived. (forgive the run-on sentence) This is what we experienced today. It is almost as if we all warriors who survived a battle together!
This outfit works perfectly for a day in pretend war. This blazer is a great classic. It fits so well and it will probably never go out of style.

Skirt: TJ Maxx
Boots: GUESS (via gift)
I felt very put together wearing this! Sadly, this blouse is a static magnet! I really don't like static, so I end up spending time all day dampening the top to get that static out.
Every time I feel cold, but don't feel like wearing tights, I reach for these boots. Sometimes it is nice to have a comfort zone to retreat to!

When I see this outfit, I can't help but to fall more and more in love with this sweater. I wore it a LOT on out trip to europe in the spring, so it also has a nice memory attached to it. Also it is the perfect weight. As Goldie-locks would say, it is not too thick and not to thin.
After thinking so much about this sweater, I now have Undone - The Sweater Song by Weezer stuck in my head. Thanks blog, Thanks!

Belt: White House Black Market
This weather is in between truly cold and fall. These are the days when I have trouble deciding if I want to wear tights with my skirts or not. Usually if the high is above the 30's I'll go tights free!
I love the print of this dress, but I've had a terrible time styling it. Sadly, I don't think this belt is the right answer either. I'm thinking a blazer could go a long way to help create a nice shape and tone down the print just a little.
I'm open to ideas if anyone has one!
