Today was a long one. I started SO early it was basically night time when I left. That means you're stuck with a picture of my outift after about 12 hours of traveling the north half of the state and back. I was looking for peices that were comfortable and wouldn't look like a bag of wrinkles, and I think this skirt was a great choice.
More tomorrow, so hears to me finding another comfortable wrinkle-less outfit!

Work is piling up, but as usual this is a good thing! But it has piled up SO much that I just don't have time to talk!
As for the outfit (hello, pink pants!) it is simple, chic and includes polka dots. Win. win. Win.
See ya!

Coat! Snow Pants! Mittens! Boots! IU HAT!
Today Indianapolis was in a bit of gridlock of snow snow and more snow, so I figured my time was better spent working from home. Therefore, I didn't REALLY ever get dressed. Well, at least not into anything other than the good old leggings/hoodie/boots outfit.
Around 1pm Hubby and I tackled our drive way under about 10 inches of snow! It didn't take too long, but it was hard work! I was happy to get in my workout for the day.
Do you have the ability to work from home? If you did would you get dressed?!

FYI. I live in Indiana. Indiana lives for Basketball. Therefore, our entire office (aka five people) rolled out at 4pm to watch IU play. As an IU grad, this is an exciting time, and I love seeing everyone dressed up in their cream and crimson!
As for me. I threw on my RED scarf and called it good.

I have been waiting until it is warmer/higher humidity out to wear this skirt because it has a tendonsy to atracked a lot of static electricity. Static might be the single most annoying thing about winter. PS Winter is supposed to be over!
In the spirit of winter being over.... here is my watermelon colored outfit... that I'm wearing... while standing in the snow.

This is what I wore on the first day of spring. These are my warm pants! On the first day of spring! Ugh! I try not to talk too much about the weather because it is silly small talk, but I am litgitmately bothered by the cold "spring" weather. I should be enjoying days with windows open and fresh air rolling though my house, but NoooOOOoo.
Sorry for the outburst. My only excuse is that I'm a child that loves spring and wants it here NOW!

Work is piling up almost literally, but realistically this is not a complaint because it is nice to have lots of great things to focus my creativity on. These are the times when I get to be the most awesome! See how I just made a ton of work sound like awesomeness?!
When I put this on, I felt like these jewel tones were more "fallish" than springy, but looking at them now -- the whole outfit seems more springy to me. The outfit encompasses a lot of wonderful textures too. Aaaaand as usual - I have an obsession with lace, so I love the mustard lace.

If leprechauns wore blue, they'd be wearing something like this. for some reason adding the metalic and gold to this made it feel a little bit like I found a pot-o-gold over the weekend. Alas, I didn't find any rainbows that lead me to gold, but what fun would that be anyway. This way I get to get up and get dressed up snazzy every day for work! See what I did there?

Guess what? I own yellow pants! This day was a super stressful, too much on my plate kind of day, so it was important to have a good but completely practical kind of outfit. Since I started the say with 16 deg wind chills the sweater was a good choice. Plus I got this snazzy stripy sweater for $8, so that make so that much better!
(I also accidentally cut my head off in todays pictures, but I'm hoping you'll forgive me!)

I visit my Gma every week and lately she's really taken notice of my bright colors! She doesn't see very well anymore, so its probably nice to see such great color combinations. To this one she said, "I really wouldn't think to put those colors together, but they really look nice!"
I almost wore white shoes with this, but I asked my hubby and he picked the yellow ones. What an amazing choice! I really feel like the yellow made this outfit at least 2 times better than the white ones would have. Thanks Hubs!

I'm getting much better at print mixing, but to be fair I think mixing is much easier when there are stripes involved
These are not new boots, and in fact, I almost didn't wear them today. I received more compliments on these boots today then I've received in a long time. It was completely bizarre Note to self: people love white boots!

Blue shoes make everything better! In fact, when I was little my dad got some blue tennis shoes. This seemed odd to us kids, so we asked him WHY he got blue shoes. My dad is goofy so he had a goofy answer: "the blue ones go faster!" Probably 20 years later, this is still an inside joke in my family. Who knows how fast I can go in these puppies!
