Work is piling up almost literally, but realistically this is not a complaint because it is nice to have lots of great things to focus my creativity on. These are the times when I get to be the most awesome! See how I just made a ton of work sound like awesomeness?!
When I put this on, I felt like these jewel tones were more "fallish" than springy, but looking at them now -- the whole outfit seems more springy to me. The outfit encompasses a lot of wonderful textures too. Aaaaand as usual - I have an obsession with lace, so I love the mustard lace.
I have this thing for pairing "sweet" looking pieces with more "tough" looking items. That's why I picked these hardcore booties to wear with this sweet floofy skirt (that's right, I just used the words "hardcore" and "floofy" in the same sentence). That makes me think, as I'm writing this, that I should try pairing this with a leather jacket sometime! Adding that to the to-do list!

I've been trying to figure out what to wear with this lace top. I have been sort of trying to aviod wearing it with black. For some reason, as an IU grad, I have an aversion to wearing black and gold together... (those who know about or are from Indiana will understand this!)
Then this morning it finally clicked! Just add those trusty red pants! Bam ~ Now I looke like ketchup and mustard...
Since I'm in Cancun for a few days, I thought it would be fitting to share this outfit I chose to wear for the office picnic back in June. I love everything about this dress, and it moves beautifully in the breeze!
The last day at work before a vacation can be hectic and this day was exactly that. Lots of things going, but hopefully I'm leaving with everything in pretty good shape.
It took me too long to find this outfit this morning, but I'm pretty happy with it. We had lunch with clients today so I wanted to look especially professional.

I'm taking the state exam related to my class tomorrow, so you won't have to hear me complaining about studying anymore! (yay!) Now, if I can just pass this exam, that would be ideal for everyone.
I feel that the neon belt makes this outfit. Its somewhat boring and basic without it. With the belt it has a little punch of something awesome.
This is my first time getting anything from J. Crew. If you don't follow my blog, you may not know that I'm a very frugal chica. This is my nice way of calling myself cheap. One reason I was able to splurge on this skrit is because it was on super-dooper clearance, and I adore this color. Plus, why turn down an opportunity to use my sweet new denim shirt?
Both this blazer and these pants are lint magnets. I didn't realize how bad they are until I had them together. Yeesh!
While driving to work, it randomly occurred to me that the most expensive thing in this outfit is these $40 shoes. The top was a steal from the Kohl's clearance rack for about $2.70. Plus I snagged these pants for $5 in a find "skinny" dress pant's frenzy I went on a week or so ago. With the cost of the blazer all the cloths are about $28! Clearance makes me so happy!

Today I decided to be monochromatic. My mom pretty much put this outfit together because she gave me both the top and bottom in the SAME BOX for Christmas. If that's not a hint, what is? I added the shoes and the necklace, and I threw an orange tank on under the sweater for a little hint of fun!
I planned to wear my red blazer with this, but as usual i ended up back in my fav teal-y colored one. Something about the length and fit of this one, makes me want to wear it way too much! Do you have a favorite piece that you always go back to?

Okay... With or without the scarf? I couldn't pick, so I decide I would ask the all knowing blog-universe. I think subconsciously Kendi's outfit from yesterday made me pull out my pleats and pair them with a stripe.
