I might have to wear pants tomorrow or I'll be declared a full blown dress addict. But dresses are sooooo easy! Dress + Cardi/Jacket + Necklace and DONE. Maybe I should actually do some thinking tomorrow.
I love this dress so much. The color is super bright. It fits really well and has a great length. Plus I love the zipper detail up the front. And yes it is a competely functioning zipper. Lengen .... (wait for it).... DARY!
On the other hand, I don't love the way this outfit photographed, but the colors are there, so that helps out a bit. This jacket just does not like to be worn open. Its drinkin' the hater-ade.

I am really excited about how these pictures turned out. I've seen nothing but rain for days, and as you can see in the photos, I'm really happy about this sunshine. "Hello Mr. Sun!"
Remember that time I told you I got a bunch of exciting things on an impromptu shopping trip with my BFF to Forever 21? Well this dress is one of the most exciting things I found. I love so many things about it, and I have been waiting many moons to try wearing it with something. I'm really pleased with the color combination! All good news today folks!
Since the cardi has some cool embellishment of its own, I decided to go simple with my necklace. I love wearing this necklace because is makes me feel like my hubby is with me all day -- Like I'm carrying around a piece of our love. Okay, okay all in unison "awwwww".
I'm done gushing.
Have a lovely day!

I realize this is not the most figure flattering outfit, but after all the celebrating with family over Easter weekend I didn't take the time to choose my outfit ahead of time. This was one of those "oh crap! What will I wear?" outfits that materialized this morning.
I think the floral print and ruffles are beautiful and feels a little Easter-y!
I don't know why my pants look like they are sagging. I swear they are not!!

This feels like a great "casual Friday" outfit because it looks put together and professional, but it is comfortable and lacks HEELS. I did feel short in this outfit, but that's okay because my shoes are argyle and that just makes everything more awesome!
I also tried out the good ol' "blogger bun". It is probably not as high as it should be, but I was pretty pleased with it overall. I did get a few compliments on it, so that has to be a good sign, right?

I'm throwing in an extra post today to ask for your help. I bought this dress (from Forever 21) for Easter, and I need some creative ideas for great ways to style it! HELP!!

If you can't tell from my facial expression, I was very pleased to see the sun this morning. I have a distinct feeling (from the forecast) I will not be seeing Mr. Sun for a long long time.
I really hope that the shoes are a star of this outfit because I love the so much. They have adorable little daisies on them! How awesome is that!

It was cold out! How do you dress warm and for spring at the same time? I say the answer is Hot Pink and Chartreuse! this outfit is not perfectly flattering, but I really like these colors together. Chartreuse + Grey = Love. Plus if I must reiterate, it was cold out!
Do you think the necklace that matches the sweater is good, or should I have gone for another pop of color?

I love this shirt. Unfortunately, this did not photograph so well. Hopefully, it looked better in the office than it does in the rain. It is a loose fitting shirt, so I thought it would balance well with the narrow-ness of the pencil skirt.
I'm going to go ahead and blame the rain for my poor photography skillz. That's right, with a Z! If only April in Indiana could stop acting like November! I'm so frustrated with this weather. Where is my spring?

I have been wanting to wear this for a while, but it felt way too basic. I wasn't sure how to make it look more interesting, but I think I accomplished it!
In other news, I lovingly refer to this shirt as my Gaga shirt because of the big pointy sleeves. Yeah you right!

All this time everyone has been wearing awesome stripes but me! All I could do was sit back and adore, but now I have my own! In and impromptu visit to Forever 21, my bff and I found some lovely things. This is cardi one of mine. It is light weight and therefore perfect for spring! If you can't tell, I am excited! Wait until you see what else I got!

Today we moved offices at work. Our new office space is hopefully laid out more efficiently and will be better for inviting clients in. Because most of what went on today was moving, I decided to go with jeans. I threw on the jacket to make it a little professional-ish and took a sweater and flats to change into once the serious moving was underway. I really love this shirt because it does not need a necklace. How convenient! Plus, this is easily my favorite jacket. Fits like a glove-jacket. By the way... a glove-jacket is not a thing - that I know of.

I like this outfit. I just got this shirt over the weekend, and it is so sweet looking and Easter-y too! I struggled with the shoes today going back and forth, but I ended up with these. They are metallic and have a flowery pattern; pretty awesome actually.
I love the way this necklace really pops against the pale pink. It says "BAM!"
I know the sun is overexposing me, but I <3 the sun so much that I'm okay with it. Remote is on the way! I'm still learning more and more everyday about how to make my pics better.

Sometimes, I just have to go with something simple. It is a hazard of having a career I love and a blog I also adore. I was creatively blocked and I knew this would work okay and be professional. So here I am!
I tried to crank it up with my leopard print shoes and my sassy necklace, but I think I was only moderately successful in adding sass. Watch your sass!!

I really like the length of this dress. I makes me feel like my legs are 6" longer than they really are. I just got this cardi over the weekend and I couldn't wait to find something great to wear with it. I don't think this is going to be the absolute best way to style it, but I do think it works pretty well. Also, it is infinitely comfortable!
The shoes help to elongate my leg. I added the shoe to try to bring something structured and professional looking to this outfit which could be considered casual with different shoes. Plus they are unique looking and Snakeskin. How can I go wrong?

Sorry it is another burry day! I promise my new lens is on its way!
This shirt worked a lot better in my brain. I think it would be more successful if it were a longer/larger volume shirt -- that is how I imagined it in my head. I'm not 100% pleased with the proportions of this outfit, but I think I pull it off okay.

I bought this dress several months ago (for $4), and all this time I've felt like I couldn't wear it because we had 4" of snow! Today I finally set it free! I'm really pleased with the way this outfit photographed. Plus, the sun decided to cooperate, so the light was nice. I didn't really want to go with the shoes that were so matchy - matchy. But they are my favorite, so I gave in to their calling. I'm a wuss!
Bring on the weekend!

I didn't know that Jenny from the block had lace shoes, but we all know how much I love lace! I am out of my mind excited about being able to wear these again. I miss them in the winter!
I really love this dress, but it is sleeveless, so I always have to put SOMETHING over it. Last time I wore it, I paired it with a red sweater. I think I like this better. How do we feel about the dots with the lace shoe? Too much?
I'm looking forward to the 80 degree weather and thunderstorms this weekend! Get ready!

I just got these new pants, so I had to try to do something with them. I'm sure I'll come up with something better the longer I own them, but I feel like this outfit works pretty well. My pants have not been hemmed yet, so I put on my highest highest boots to keep them off the ground. I have no feet!!
The cool thing about what I did with the shoes is, it make my legs look about four inches longer than they really are! Bonus!
Say Hello to my favorite necklace... yet again!

I apologize for being out of focus today. It was raining. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
I didn't even notice until half way through the day that there are ruffles on almost everything I'm wearing! I have a sickness! My name is Christine, and I'm a ruf-oholic!
I have not worn this necklace in a while. It is probably because when I'm going for this pop of color I always favor this necklace, but today I needed something shorter. This one did exactly what I needed it to do. If it were in focus you could see how neat it is with the pewter chains between each bead. I already apologized! Geeeez stop harping!

I don't know if I'm going in the right direction here -- from lumberjack to country singer. Actually, I take that back. Either way, I'd be a bad ass!
If you haven't noticed, these are my favorite boots. Seriously.... Favorite. I need to wear them as much as humanly possible before they go away for the summer.
I guess I've officially jumped on the flannel bandwagon. Oh, well! What can I say? Target had them on sale for $8!

I think this might be an attempt at pattern mixing... yeah I know. I am not a fan of this outfit. I'm not sure what I was trying to do, but it was past time to leave for work! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Maybe plaid and argyle will never be friends. At least I got to take my haringbone pumps out for another spin. Better luck next time!
This is what this blog is all about. Trying something new and putting it out there 'for better or worse'. (Did I just compare my blog to marriage?)
