These are not new boots, and in fact, I almost didn't wear them today. I received more compliments on these boots today then I've received in a long time. It was completely bizarre Note to self: people love white boots!
I do love this shirt it to pieces! Buuuuuut.... until now I have not been brave enough to try the whole tucking in the front and not the back, especially for a professional setting. I tried it for "casual friday", and I think, I did it wrong. I guess that's what trial and error is here for. To be fair, It looked better in person than it does in these photos. I'll try again one day!
4th grade me would have cringed at the sight of this... Pink and Red? Are you kidding me? Good thing 28 year-old me just loves red and pink together. They're like bffs!
Don't I look like a giant Valentine? I stuggled more than I thought I would to find something festive to wear today. I am still playing a little bit if catch up, so the pants were a nice convenience for the day. I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's day. Now get back to the grind!

I went to target with my sister/shopping buddy over the weekend, and i was reassured to see plenty of neons in the spring lineups. I guess my neon love isn't out of date yet!
Sorry to be so blurry today, but I had to head to work extra early which meant I had to battle some extra darkness. Is it bad that I'm a little excited to get back to a routine? I can get back to my morning runs, back to snacking on green peppers and watching old episodes of Friends on nick at night until I fall asleep!
I know fall is a all about darker more muted colors, but would I really be me if I didn't still use my fun brights? It sort of reminds me of the bright amazing colors we saw this weekend camping in Southern Indiana. I highly recommend it!
This may come as a shock to you, but I bought ANOTHER blazer. I can't get over how well the jackets at H&M fit me, so here I am again. This time I went with a classic -- navy blue. Since navy is, at its heart, a neutral, There are limitless possibilities for this little number. Should be a good inspritaiton for some good fall stuff too.

If you've been around this week, you've seen me wearing this necklace a lot (once, twice, three times)! Sometimes it functions a bit like a security blanket when life is uncertain.
This is my first time ever wearing more than one necklace. I think it works pretty well. I'll have to play around with this more often!

Over the weekend, I made an impromptu trip to Kohl's with my little sister. We were dissecting the clearance rack and my sister came across this skirt thinking it looked like something I would wear. It didn't have a price tag on it, but we didn't see any more skirts like it on the racks. I took it to the customer service desk to see if they could figure out what the price was. The teller hits a few buttons on her computer then looks up and says it is $5.40! The way I see it, the amazing neon belt it came with was worth that much on its own. What a beautiful fresh color! I think I'm in love!

Sweat pea is something I call my pup sometimes. She's pretty sweet, so it works. I just called her that when I was trying think of something to write about, and the pink and white seemed to fit with the idea of "sweet pea". (why do I keep typing "sweat" instead of "sweet"?)
This outfit worked well for my 1st day back at work after missing 2 days on my adventure with hubby. I had pleanty of catching up to do and this was light weight and pretty comfortable for the work ahead of me.
I have been waiting all week to wear this dress. This was my most prized find of the shopping adventure I've been telling you about relentlessly all week. I had incredible success trolling the banana republic clearance rack. I snagged this little number for $33! That's sort of a lot for me (because I'm frightfully frugal), but it is really a fantastic price for such a beautiful dress with so many great uses!
I know it isn't that unique since many of the worlds most awesome bloggers (1, 2, 3, 4) wore this same dress around Easter, but that doesn't diminish my love. Not one bit!

Sorry, I do not have a better photo today. This is an annual golf outing that my company participates in every year. I stole our intern from the office and got our tent all set up. Last year, the event was circus themed. This year the theme was "Peace, Love and Golf", so we went with a Brady Bunch theme. We served lots of wonderful "retro" snacks to the golfers going teeing off. (i.e. Tang, Nutter Butters, Starcrunch etc.)
We always make shirts that go with the theme, so I took Photoshop, an old picture from the Brady's tour and replaced their faces with the faces of all the awesome people in our company. The shirts were great and the weather could not have been better! Not to mention, I got to wear a hat! I'm not even cool enough to wear a hat!
Meet some of my new clothes! As you know, I've had this blazer for a minute, but this great striped tank and this incredible skirt are new additions. When my shopping buddy/sister and I took our wonderful shopping trip we found some incredible success at Banana Republic clearance rack.
