Today we have a dinner with clients, so that means something a little more exciting than just a day sitting at the good ol' desk. For some reason I have been avoiding my bright blazers lately. It is silly. I should embrace and love them! They need my love!

After spending a long weekend in WV with my Hubs, I was dragging a little. This outfit was easy, but still worked well. I can always count on this J Crew skirt to make an outfit look put together. I apologize for my spotty posts the last few weeks! I'll get back in a rhythm soon!

I missed another Friday morning photo because we left the house when it was DARK! On the brightside, that means you get to see pictures from my trip around WV with the hubs!
On our way from Indianapolis to our cabin in West Virginia, we made an awesome stop at at place in Kenova called The Pumpkin House. They cover their house in 3,000 pumpkins every year. It is an incredible operation. If you're near there can you can stop by before Nov 1 when they tear down, you should!
This is the "road" to our cabin in Oak Hill, WV. I use the term "road" loosely.
This is the New River Gorge Bridge. It is 851 ft tall, and it is magnificent.
We had the distinct pleasure of walking the catwalks of the New River Gorge Bridge. I didn't think I could talk Hubs into it, but to my surprise, he was gungho!
We did a little rock hoping down by the rapids on New River.
Then high-tailed it to see the Seneca Rocks, which were awesome.
Another 45 minutes up the road we found this awesome waterfall, Blackwater Falls. It was quite lovely.
After lots of driving (about 1,200 total) we never got too used to these amazing views.
On our final day, we had made our way north to Pennsylvannia, and had the distinct pleasure of touring Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. It was incredible, and something my husband has dreamed of seeing for his entire life. It was spectacular.

I grew up believing that black and brown don't go together. I have grown up to learn that they are actually best friends. This is a fun way to combine the two!

The day after our huge annual presentation is one of sleeping in and playing catchup. All the time we spend preping for that event means we have a big backlog of regular work waiting for us. Today I spent lots of time getting back into the swing of things.

Dress: Calvin Klein (via TJ Maxx)
Belt: LOFT
Shoes: Nine West
Programming Note: I had to put this outfit back on this morning to take a photo because I had so many balls in the air that day that I forgot to get even ONE picture of myself. So rest assured that my hair was done curly (like this) and looks way better than this silly ponytail!
This was what I wore for presentation day. I had to go find something exciting to wear last minute, which means I had to SPEND more than I normally would. I snagged this dress for $60, which isn't terrible. But it is more than I would normally spend. Last minute fashion decisions make me uneasy, but I think this one worked out okay.

This shirt is making me struggle. I really really love it, but I don't know if I've found a great way to wear it yet. I'll keep working.
Today is our big annual presentation. Tomorrow you'll get to see what I wore!

Friday was another one of those 5am mornings where it was simply too dark for work outfit photos. That means once again you get to see how campy I dressed while camping on this cool October weekend!
And of course no blog post is complete without a Baylee picture....

Today bird was the word. We finished a huge project and it is off to the printer now! We only have a few loose ends to wrap up and this is going to be our best presentation yet!
In other news, I think this is the only "hi-low" dress I own. I'm not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. I think the bird print meant that I couldn't let this dress get by me regardless of the hem-line. How do you feel about the hi-low trend? I'm not sure I've decided yet.

Today was a LONG day. We have our annual, big deal presentation. We've been gearing up for this for a month or two, and now is the final count down. Twelve plus hours of work makes this girl sleepy. It will all be worth it when our presentation is the best and everything looks amazing!
This shirt doesn't really have enough structure to work perfectly with this skirt, but today it worked for me when I needed to get out the door and off to work. Also those new booties are back! I love them even more today!

Shirt: H&M
Pants: old
Shoes: Nine West (via DSW)
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe
I'm not that old, but these pants are. I've had them for so long that I don't remember when I got them. Lucky for me, they have always fit me. Over the last 6+ months I've been sticking only to my skinny dress pants. Today, I decided to give these old classics a new spin. I'm pretty pleased with it, and now I feel like I have so many new ideas for pants! Yay pants!

Almost everything about this outfit reminds me of Munich. I bought these boots on clearance right before leaving for Europe, and it was a great last minute choice. It ended up being cold and rainy most of the time we were in Munich, and these boots helped keep my toes warm while exploring the beautiful amazing city. Do you have shoes with specific memories attached to them?
