These birdies make me so happy, and these colors are oddly springy. I get that it's weird to wear springy colors while standing in the snow, but what can I say? - I'm weird!
This may come as a shock to you, but I bought ANOTHER blazer. I can't get over how well the jackets at H&M fit me, so here I am again. This time I went with a classic -- navy blue. Since navy is, at its heart, a neutral, There are limitless possibilities for this little number. Should be a good inspritaiton for some good fall stuff too.
I've been noticing everyone's brain seems to be shifting to fall. We've been planning fall camping trips and fun fall football adventures. I've seen lots of bloggers pulling out their old and new fall goodies. Fall colors are some of the most fun. I feel like orange is always in style for fall. I'm probably making that up, but I do that a lot with my style. Just make thinks up as I go along.
I was totally excited about the monochromatic theme for this month's Everybody Everywear. I thought would be easy, but alas, once again, I was wrong. I started looking for the perfect monochrome outfit, and I just wasn't seeing it. I know my greens aren't' the same, but they are friends! Are you having fun with your EBEW!?
In the interest of full disclosure, I did wear this jacket for much of the day because offices and A/C are cold!!
This might actually be one of my first ever pair of Levi's. I find that odd since Levi's seem like such a staple of americana. Whatever this particular cut is happens to fit me quite well. Not to mention I found them on a clearance rack a Macy's for $15! Getting a good deal really makes my day!
I have been doing a lot of outfits sans accessories lately. I'm not sure if it is good or bad, but maybe sometimes I'm just looking for a sleeker look. I did throw on some earrings for good measure, but I thoughts this dress had enough going on between the print and the ruffles that maybe a necklace isn't necessary today! Worth a shot!
I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of this pattern mixing thing. I'm still wearing training wheels, but I'm learning more all the time. How could I go wrong by mixing stripes and dots?
Do you ever get to a place in your wardrobe/life where for no real reason at all you just don't love the clothes you own anymore. I get this every year or two, and it sucks because you waste a lot of time trying on everything you own and deciding that's not what you wanted to wear! I felt okay about this outfit, but it took me probably 30 minutes to find it. To be fair, these shoes are new from the clearance table at Francesca's, and I love love love them!
I dragged (drug?) my shopping buddy/sister out shopping with me to find somethings to freshen my wardrobe and improve my perspective of my wardrobe/life. We were pretty successful and you'll see a lot of the spoils of that venture throughout the next couple of weeks! I can't wait to show you!

This morning I was in a total bind. I was trying to make something work that just wasn't working. I was running laters every minute so that fastest way I could come up with a solution was throw on a dress and a blazer. This is what my bind produced this morning. Here's to a better morning tomorrow!
My husband gave me much praise this morning for this outfit. I'm still on the fence. I don't love the length of these paints, but I do love the color combo!
There is an episode of Friends in which Joey explains what a "moo point" is. He says: It is like a cow's opinion - it is Moo. This completely cracks me up - don't judge! I guess it is bad thing that my husband's opinion of this outfit is what made me think of the scene in the first place.
