Dress: c/o Sway Chic
Booties: Express

After some interesting couple of days, Hubby and I decided a date night was in order. Sway Chic sent me this amazing dress, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try it out. Don't you love the way it scoops down in the back? Perfect for wearing your hair up. I chose not to do much with accessories because I think there is enough texture and pattern going on in the dress itself. I know it isn't fall yet, but I couldn't resist trying my sequined booties with this dress. So fun!

I think it is definitely too short to wear in a professional setting. I have some other plans for wearing this with tights to circumvent the issue of length. I'm also going to try putting a skirt over it and wearing it as a top. How would you wear it?

Hubby and I are out of town, so here's an outfit I wore out to dinner with my hubs for Valentines day. Enjoy!

Top: Target
Skirt: H&M
Blazer: Macy's
Shoes: DSW
Necklace: Simply Vera (via Kohl's)

This is what I wore to work on my 3 year wedding anniversary. I feel like it somehow came out looking like I'm going on some business related safari. Would you take a business trip to the jungle? If so, would you ride an elephant? Elephants are cool!

Dress: TJ Maxx
Cardi: Cynthia Rowley (via TJ Maxx)
Boots: Carlos Santana (via gift)
Watch: Francesca's (via gift)
Bracelets: gift

My husband and I planned an elaborate date night together. After failing at booking a room in downtown Indy for a cheap rate, we decided to get creative and turn our guest room into our fancy hotel room. We have been going in different directions so often lately that we needed some time to focus only on each other.

Date night was starting immediately following work, so whatever I wore to work was going to be my date night outfit. I wanted to do something sweet looking with these more "rough" or rustic boots. I really enjoyed wearing this outfit, and my date liked it too! Bonus!
